BIO

TECHNOIR is an Alternative / Electro Soul band with Italian, Nigerian and Greek origins based in Milan. The duo, composed of Alexandros Finizio and Jennifer Villa, has attracted the interest of national and international publications such as Afropunk and Rolling Stone (“Not a banal emotional soul theirs, but a deep glitch of the acid jazz of the last twenty years, which enters the new post-black wave led by Flying Lotus”), and has taken their sound all over Europe. 

Their style mixes electronica, soul and trip hop with a constant sonic quest that has often seen them juxtaposed with the likes of Gnarls Barkley and Gorillaz, and led them to collaborate with the likes of Stuart Zender (Jamiroquai) and Cristiano Crisci (Clap!Clap!), with whom they composed ‘More Than You Can See’ (AlieNation, 2019). 

Alexandros and Jennifer take care of every aspect of the TECHNOIR project, from production and songwriting to audiovisual creation. Their album ‘Never Trust The Algorithm’ (Kengah Records) was included among the 10 best albums of 2020 by Billboard Italy. In October 2023, the new album AFTER MATH will be released independently, with which the duo will turn towards a refined and personal blend of various musical genres and darker sounds inspired by 90s Bristol, following an exploration begun with the previous album.

Brodo Studio is an experiential marketing and communications agency based in Udine, Italy. Our mission is to tell every brand in a spectacular and engaging way for the audience. We create multichannel and on-life strategies that can express themselves simultaneously in the real and digital worlds, resulting in phygital experiences.
