Season 1

Hailing from Venice, New Candys formed in 2008. Described as modern dark rock’n’roll, the band combines noisy and dark sounds with distinct melodies, displaying a dynamic and symbiotic connection between their music and meticulously crafted visual images.

The current line-up consists of Fernando Nuti (vocals, guitar), Andrea Volpato (guitar, backing vocals), Alessandro Boschiero (bass) and Dario Lucchesi (drums, percussion, sampler).

The fourth album is entitled Vyvyd and is the first released by the new line-up. It is released on 4 June 2021 by Little Cloud Records and Dischi Sotterranei, in addition to an exclusive vinyl edition for Fuzz Club. The album is produced by the band and recorded at Fox Studio in Venice by Andrea Volpato, mixed by Tommaso Colliva and mastered by Giovanni Versari, the latter both Grammy Award winners.

On 16 March, the first single ‘Twin Mime’ was released and the video was premiered on Rumore and Post-Punk; the song was included in five Spotify editorial playlists, including ‘All New Rock’. It is followed by the second single “Begin Again” released on 13 April, accompanied by a music video directed by Ivana Smudja that is premiered on Rolling Stone Italy and CVLT Nation[12]; the track is also included in the “Sacred Bones Now Playing” playlist of the famous record label. “Zyko” is the third and final single taken from the album, it is released on 11 May and included in six Spotify editorial playlists including “Rock Italia”, where the band will be featured on the cover, and “New Alt-Rock Mixtape”, in addition to Apple Music’s “New in Rock” and Deezer’s “Hot New Rock”, proving to be the band’s most successful track. IN SUPPORT OF THE CAMPAIGN ‘Dolomeyes: Fear at first sight’

The UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, with the collaboration of the Associations of Mountain Hikers and Mountaineers of the Dolomite Region, has started a discussion to identify solutions and communication proposals for the promotion of an awareness campaign that invites hikers to a conscious frequentation of the mountains and a rational use of water in this context, where due to climate change the availability of this resource is very limited and the supply in the mountain huts very expensive.
